Certifications and Authorization
CERCO Analytical, Inc. is a woman-owned business (WBE) certified with the State of California.
CERCO Analytical is approved by the United States Department of Agriculture for the import of soil samples from around the world. Our permit number is 525-24-228-08048 with an expiration date of 08/15/27. Permit documents can be found on our website along with instructions for sampling and the labels for shipping your samples from outside the Continental United States.
Quality Assurance
CERCO Analytical’s Quality Assurance Manual is available upon request. In accordance with EPA, ASTM and Caltrans Test Methods for corrosivity purposes only, CERCO adheres to their specified guidelines for quality control and quality assurance practices of the laboratory, such as use of analytical control checks (calibration checks and blanks, sample duplicates, matrix spikes and spike duplicates).

Terms
Samples are accepted for analysis with advance payment or an approved credit application on file. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Dinner’s Club. There may be a 3% additional charge for paying with a credit card. CERCO will hold any reports if a credit card payment hasn’t been made or a credit application hasn’t been approved. Payment terms are net 30 days. All overdue accounts are subject to a 1.5% interest charge per month. Terms are subject to change without notice.
Technical and Field Services
CERCO Analytical, Inc. and JDH Corrosion Consultants, Inc. offers free consultation regarding, analytical methods and help with interpretation of test results. Professional consultation is available at the hourly rates outlined below.
Our experienced associates are available for a wide range of special projects, including many most specialized or investigative sampling needs.

Sampling and Sample Pick Up
CERCO Analytical, Inc. is unable to pick up samples. CERCO currently has a drop-off box to the right of our front door for off-hour deliveries. We encourage our Clients to drop off their samples or mail to us via UPS, USPS, FedEx or another carrier. When submitting your samples, remember that we only need 1,000 grams of soil, rock and gravel free.
Sample Containers
CERCO Analytical, Inc., encourages our Clients to submit soil samples in a quart size zip-lock plastic bag with the air extracted, if possible. If samples are sent to us in a metal or plastic tube, an extrusion charge will apply.
Regulated Foreign Soils must be received and stored in two levels of secured containment until sterilized. Regulated Foreign Soils must be safeguarded at all time during movement, handling and storage until sterilized by one of the treatment methods specified in the U.S.D.A. Permit.
In order to safeguard Regulated Foreign Soils there will be an additional handling charge of $35.00 per sample.
Storage and Sample Disposal
Non-hazardous samples will be stored for 30 days from receipt and disposed of unless other arrangements are made in advance. There is a $10.00 disposal charge for each soil sample. And a storage fee of $25.00 per month for storing a sample longer than 30 days.
CERCO Analytical, Inc. is unable to accept hazardous samples. Hazardous samples, samples that smell of hydrocarbons or other chemicals will not be processed by CERCO and will be returned to the Client at their expense.

Minimum Laboratory Fee
The minimum laboratory fee is $100.00
Volume Discounts
CERCO Analytical, Inc. offers a 10% discount on 11+ samples received at one time. Standard List Price less 10%. Additional volume discounts may be available for special projects. Please contact us for a quote at darlene@cercoanalytical.com or julia@cercoanalytical.com.
Turnaround Time and Surcharges
Our standard turnaround time is 7-Working Days. This is based on soils that are currently in-house. Samples received before 12 p.m. - the day the sample was received is considered the 1st working day. Samples received after 12 p.m. – the next working day is considered the 1st working day to process your sample. Rush surcharges are available when arranged in advance. Please refer to our turnaround times and surcharges.
